Dynamic HTML: Pop-up Boxes
Pop-up boxes are a good way to show small pieces of information to the user when they want to see them or at an opportune time in an interactive process such as ecommerce. The information in the box could be a picture, descriptive text, or an FAQ page. My pop-ups are programmed to appear after the mouse has hovered over an area, placing themselves either near (but not right under) the mouse icon or in a permanent position near another page element. The boxes' offset from the mouse's position allows the user to see what they have rolled over to elicit the pop-up without it being covered by the box. Example Interesting Places |
