This example shows how I can use a CGI script to create a delimited text file from users' submissions ("delimited" means that pieces of information are separated by special characters, often tabs or semi-colons). This file can be downloaded and easily imported into a spreadsheet, making the analysis of all user submissions much easier and faster than if separate entries had to be aggregated by manual typing or cutting-and-pasting.

The form below will allow you to enter information which will be stored in an output file on the server. Submitting the form not only appends your entries to the output file but opens a small window as well which contains the contents of the survey file (you may need to reload the contents of this window to see any updates to the file).
